Oleg Maskaev is a retired Russian professional boxer. He was born on March 2, 1969, in Zhambyl, Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR. Maskaev represented Kazakhstan as an amateur boxer before moving to the United States to pursue a professional career in 1993. He fought in the heavyweight division and held various regional, national, and international titles throughout his career. Maskaev's most significant achievement was winning the WBC heavyweight title in 2006 after knocking out Hasim Rahman in the 12th round. He retired from boxing in 2013 with a record of 39 wins, 7 losses, and 27 knockouts. Maskaev currently resides in Russia, where he works as a boxing promoter and trainer.
